Could you introduce yourself in two sentences?

"My name is Donovan, 27 and I live in Amsterdam. Originally I was born in Twente and my top sporting past brought me to the Randstad."

How long have you been working at JP Gray and how did you end up here?

"Currently, I have been working at JP Gray for 2 years. I started working in face-to-face marketing in 2016, during my studies. This is also where my passion for sales started. After being a sales manager for 2.5 years, I felt like it was time for the next step. Via via, I came into contact with JP Gray at the time. This immediately felt right because of the personal approach. I felt an instant connection."

What success moment during your career at JP Gray will stay with you forever?

"Every placement feels like a wonderful moment of success: the client happy and the candidate happy, and ultimately this makes me happy too. Furthermore, I love achieving and celebrating successes together with the team. We, for example, hit a trip to Prague last year. Great memories were made here, and this trip made the team stronger."

What characteristics should a good recruitment consultant possess, and do you think anyone can become a consultant?

"With perseverance and a growth mindset, I believe anyone can become a good recruitment consultant. There is no training to become a recruiter, you learn everything here!"

Do you have any good or fun tips for your future colleague?

"Determine your long-term goals, divide them into subgoals and tick them off step by step. Without goals, you simply don't know why you are doing what you are doing."
