As Contract Coordinator, you will become part of the Global Contracts Team.
The team itself exists out of six to eight Commercial Advisors and is a growing team. You will be working in an energetic and fast-paced evolving environment, where people are encouraged to play an active role in shaping the way the business is run, whilst adhering to the compliance framework across the business; as such, key to this posting is the ability to be flexible, adaptable, open-minded, goal-orientated, and control framework conscious.

Your role as Contract Coordinator
In line with companies' policies and guidelines in respect of the business, the Contracts team is responsible for managing the entire contracts process. In such an environment it hard to describe the 'typical day' and this is exactly what drives you well. As commercial advisor you will be responsible and working on the provision of pre-deal and post deal commercial advice, contract drafting, internal authorization and dispatch of contracts/contract responses, records management, and commercial value driven advice to the business when negotiating complex contractual arrangements.

In summary, you will;

  • Provide pre and post deal commercial advice to traders with respect to the commercial, contractual and financial risks associated with their business;
  • Ensure that contracts or agreements are fit for purpose while advising traders of the commercial and contractual risks associated with heir business;
  • Authorise and draft outgoing contracts and responses to incoming contracts, before dispatch to the counterparty;
  • Advise the business when negotiating contractual arrangements, framework contracts or storage agreements;
  • Assist in maintaining a contract and clause database, as well as manage an efficient status reporting mechanism;
  • Review and negotiatee amendments to 3rd Party General Terms and Conditions.
  • Assist in refining and/or revising current contracts processes in line with those of other functions (e.g. Settlements) to reduce profit leakage and ensure optimal efficiency for the business.

To qualify yourself for this unique opportunity we do ask for a certain hard skills. However and just as important there are a few soft skills required to perform the role Contract Coordinator successfully.

  • It is a must you have a good commercial mindset and at the same time being able to work under pressure.
  • You are able to share previous experiences about how you demonstrate effective negotiating skills and how you have been capable of managing the expectations of various stakeholders.
  • You enjoy working in teams and value honesty, integrity and good collaborations;
  • Genuine interest in commercial processes and a strong understanding of contract terminology, contractual drafting, and legal issues;
  • You are able to literate with IT systems and able to grasp and absorb IT technical knowledge in a relatively short time frame (e.g. Power BI) and operate in it;
  • You are fluent in German and English. Both is a must and your application will not be considered if you do not speak German AND English fluently.
