Where will you work?
The company you will work for is an international organization and one the most innovative plastic producer where they are providing materials and applications in the automotive, electrical, medical, optical media and building & construction industries. Their European HQ is based in Sittard but with their Global HQ based in the Middle East. This company operates in around 50 countries across the world and they have 66 world-class manufacturing and compounding plants in locations across the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the Americas.


What you will be doing as customer service specialist;
Within this specific Business Unit, the Customer Service (CS) is part of the European Supply Chain department and is responsible for the entire order-to-cash process and the logistics execution. The Customer Service department has 70+ employees and is based in 3 different locations (Sittard, Bergen-op-Zoom & Cartagena).


This organisation and especially the department offers a challenging position in a multi-cultural first class Supply Chain Management environment in which attention is paid to personal development as well. They are looking for a real team player interested and able to handle an international customer portfolio in a continuously changing environment. A summary of your tasks and responsibilities;

  • Responsible for efficient, reliable and cost-effective Customer Service and the complete OTC cycle against agreed service levels (e.g. cash generation, complaints, delivery, forecasting, order handling, swaps) for the assigned cluster of customers / products.
  • Responsible for pro-actively taking actions to secure uninterrupted supply and demand processes for the assigned clusters of customers / products
  • Project Management: Contributes to projects in OTC context.
  • Monitor the OTC performance, quantitative and qualitative ("how"), and identify areas for improvement and improvement potential (e.g. e-business, perfect order), to increase effectiveness (customer service) as well as efficiency (handle the growth).
  • Execute SAP key user tasks if required (e.g. master data maintenance, testing new functionality).
  • Undertake ad hoc analyses and take the lead in the desired problem solving requiring full overview of the business (trouble shooting).
  • Roll out, implement and maintain e-shop functionality and integrity in close cooperation with customers.
  • Responsible for sales office forecast and as such contributing to delivery capability and inventory levels (product availability), as well as delivery reliability (transport availability via e.g. internet bidding tool).

You need to have the qualifications and skills;

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain;
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
  • Experience with SAP (in OTC)
  • Commercial insight & pro-active

A plus would be if you;

  • Are fluent in German, French, Italian or Spanish
  • Preferably experience in a B2B customer service or sales support role (B2B and international environment)
  • Excel skills
