Purpose of the job
The Demand Planner is an integral member of the European S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) team and is responsible for all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analysing inventory flow, inventory development and developing forecast models.
The Demand Planner is accountable for consolidated European demand plans, monitoring a timely and accurate Forecast update from the markets, providing an input to the Regional Supply Planning and S&OP.
Based on historical data, trends, sales performance plans and inventory levels, the Demand Planner will develop the European forecast, address any potential risks and opportunities to Markets and share the feedback with European and Global stakeholders.
The Demand Planner will be expected to collaborate with Market Sales teams, Europe S&OP team, Europe Product Management team, Finance organisation and other European and Global stakeholders.
As a Demand planner you will report directly to the Head of Sales and Operations Planning

What you will be doing as Demand Planner:

  • Based on the S&OP time-line help in consolidation of the European demand, monitoring a timely and accurate forecast update from the markets.
  • Provide feedback & support regarding demand planning (e.g. for improvement of the process)
  • Responsible for managing the monthly demand planning meeting.
  • The role entails creating and monitoring the OTB plan for region in collaboration with the S&OP manage. (Additional to the OTB you will maintain the stock development, long term demand and stock planning files for the region on both wholesale and retail.
  • Conduct pre and post seasonal demand analysis; prepare weekly/monthly/ad hoc reports and analysis for the different channels (wholesale, full price, and outlet retail)
  • Presentation of key findings to the global S&OP community.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

What does your profile look like?

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 3+ years in demand planning is preferred
  • Experience with SAP
  • Advanced skills in Excel is required
  • Self-motivated, Proactive, Self-starter, hands-on
  • Strong analytic, organisational, decision making and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in statistics, planning, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain process flow.
  • Proven ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Problem solving skills and being able to set priorities.
