Distribution Administrator

Location: Schiphol

Language: English

Contract: 1 year (initially, then permanent contract)

Where will you work?

The company you will work for is a global firm in the pharmaceutical industry. You will be part of Distribution department and you will report to Supervisor Carrier Management.

Your main objective will be administration and analysis of freight charges by checking and processing of freight invoices and preparing freight cost reports.

What you will be doing as a distribution administrator:

  • Ensure freight invoices are processed and paid on time.
  • Check the correctness of the freight invoices.
  • Follow up with the vendors in case the invoices are not correct.
  • Administration of invoices in the financial system.
  • Prepare Freight Out and Freight In cost reports.
  • Active collaboration on Yearly Freight Budget preparation.
  • Monthly monitor plan vs actual freight spent.
  • First point of contact for freight vendors on payment status of their invoices.
  • Create and maintain requisitions for PO process.
  • Obtain approvals for the PO and non-PO bills.
  • Analysis on PO discrepancies.
  • Arrange & request special payments where necessary.
  • Process accuracy & improvement.
  • Leading monthly Soll-Ist analysis.
  • Follow up on Soll Ist, (corrections, deviations investigating etc.)

It is a rewarding, responsible position. You will have a high level of ownership of the task and you will communicate with several stakeholders, like: financial department, procurement department, order management and transport companies.

Your profile:

  • Minimum three years of experience in a similar role
  • HBO degree (or equivalent form another country)
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of Power BI is a pre
