Logistics Account Manager

Location: Beilen

Language: Dutch and English

Contract: 7 months (with a possibility of extension)

Availability: 32-38 hours a week

What you will be doing as a Logistics Account Manager:

The Logistic account manager ensures the delivery of customer centric, end-to-end supply chain solutions for new and changing products/concepts, IFT finals and base-powders. The Logistic Account Manager optimises the logistical processes, balancing the customers' needs and internal possibilities to realise optimal service delivery against best possible costs, relationship building and bring the whole Customer Supply Chain to a next level; ready for the future.

He/she acts as Supply Chain lead on cross-functional teams (SC, Category, Marketing, R&D and Operations) and is responsible for the successful route to market and product transitions.

He/She is responsible for the reporting, monitoring and improvement of the Opco demand plan and the Hub supply plan (both operational and tactical horizon). He or she is responsible for the monthly demand review process and ensures a proper input for the monthly HUB S&OP process

Your role:

  • Development and maintenance of a strong business relationship with the logistics/ supply chain/commercial counterpart at the customers and also internal stakeholders
  • Acting as first contact point for the relevant supply chain operational, technical, strategic and non-standard issues at the side of the customer
  • Good understanding of the internal processes and specific goals and needs of the customer, and being able to translate these to customer specific action plans for a logistic optimization. Finding the right balance between what a customer desires and what the supply chain can deliver.
  • Management and implementation of the logistics aspects in innovation projects (New product development, existing product development, new customer development)
  • Initiate and participate in improvement projects together with customers (efficiency, sustainability, service levels)
  • Tracking, evaluating and reporting of periodic logistic performance at customer level and periodic testing of logistic customer agreements and detecting differences
  • Proactively acts in case of (possible) delivery problems with the customers and relevant stakeholders. Channels customer requirements, wishes and feedback and guards follow up.
  • Creates awareness/balance in the internal organization on customer related logistics costs in relation to customer profitability (cost to serve).
  • Coordinates the monthly demand review process as part of the S&OP cycle and align availability with S&OP Hub in order to fulfil the demand plan (18 months) at the required service levels in the most (cost) efficient way
  • Responsible for on-time in-full delivery of a key product portfolio with crucial impact to the business performance

Your profile:

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor Degree, preferably in Business Management / Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in account management / Logistics environment
  • Good knowledge of the end to end supply chain and business processes and the interdependencies (Plan/Source/Make/Deliver)
  • Experience in Food, infant nutrition is a benefit
  • Experience with product introductions (phasing in/ phasing out) and/or innovation is a benefit
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in Project Management is a benefit
  • Able to manage multiple interfaces independently which requires extended communication
  • Knowledge of Demand management is a benefit
