Logistics Coordinator

Location: Geleen

Contract: 6 months (initially, extension is possible)

Where will you work?

The company you will work for is a global firm in the advanced material and ingredients industry. You will be Responsible for organising reliable and efficient transport for a set of customers. If you walk into the office you see a group of people working together and helping each other when needed. What you will be doing as a Logistics Coordinator:

  • Arrange material allocation and transport for customers in collaboration with the logistics service providers;
  • Report and manage the performance on the delivery reliability and transport budget for your domain;
  • Follow-up on carrier capacity and performance issues;
  • Execute improvement projects;
  • Solve operational issues together with the logistics service providers and your colleagues in customer service, supply planning and warehousing;
  • Display and support positive behaviour towards safety, health and environment.

On the operational level you will allocate the materials to the correct orders and work together with your team in solving issues. On a tactical level you will be responsible for carrier management, costs and delivery reliability. Next to these responsibilities you will manage projects in line with you personal growth ambition and the company's supply chain strategy.

What the Logistics Coordinator profile looks like:

  • HBO level; preferably in supply chain, logistics, economics or a similar field or experience in similar roles;
  • A learning and pro-active mindset;
  • A hands-on attitude and strong sense of ownership;
  • A team player that will collaborate across the functions.

The position offers:

  • A full time employment (40hrs per week, 32 or 36 is discussable);
  • A salary indication between €2600 - €3000 per month + competitive;
  • A hybrid way of working is standard;
  • Travel allowance;
  • Pension plan from day 1;
  • 6 months contract provided via JP Gray;
  • Educational budget.
