Role: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Amsterdam

Contract: 7 months (extension possible)

Hours: 40 hours per week

The Team

The objective of the DTC Commercial Finance & Business Analytics team within the company is to act as the bridge between the Business and Finance; supporting the Business owners to translate their strategies into budgets and long-term plans; and with that setting and safeguarding financial targets.

The Position

The Senior Business Analyst reports into the Manager Ecommerce Controlling and will be supporting the FP&A activities serving the ecommerce department of the DTC Hub.

• Be an expert in the periodical (FP&A) activities and related deliverables from a closing, budgets, re-forecasts and strategic planning perspective.
• Support the manager Ecommerce Controlling in forging strong relationships with senior management in ecommerce (directors and above) and senior HQ stakeholders (such as Finance/Controlling, Strategy/Analytics, etc.).
• Have an analytical mindset and drive profitability analysis across different channels (O&O and partner program) to the next level.
• Involvement in Ecommerce projects to optimize business analysis and reporting landscape.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or related roles, preferably within the retail or fashion industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets and develop data-driven recommendations.
• Proficiency in analysis and ERP tools such as Excel and SAP (BW, FMS, BPC).
• Solid understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record in delivering high-quality business analysis deliverables on time and within scope.
• Experience working in Agile or other project management methodologies.
• Strong business acumen and strategic mindset.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Additional languages are a plus.
