Senior Events Specialist

Location: Amsterdam

Contract: 1 year

The Senior Events Specialist is a strong organiser, able to manage individual projects as well as work in a team for the purpose of our larger employee events, collaborating with agencies and freelancers. The role requires building great relationships, managing multiple stakeholders and suppliers. Also possess good communication skills and have an eye for details and timelines. The Senior Event Specialist should have passion for collaboration, innovation, strong communication skills and exceptional team-work.

Your role as a Senior Events Specialist

  • Lead the planning, preparation, project management and reporting of Central Tech (CT) and company-wide events across our CT offices, primarily our Amsterdam offices
  • Manage the coordination of logistics for all events, including guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, catering, entertainment, equipment, decor, internal communication and marketing materials
  • Serve as the main point of contact for multiple stakeholders such as Internal Comms, Events team, Office Management teams and/or external vendors to establish the requirements needed for the execution of events in alignment with business needs
  • Act as liaison to senior executives and other stakeholders, throughout the planning, execution and debriefing of each event
  • Create and nurture strong working relationships across the organisation to provide strategic recommendations and insights; work with teams for content development and strategy, event execution and follow-up
  • Develop and execute internal campaigns and communications including internal communication platform, emails & registration tools to drive employee awareness, engagement and participation Manage vendors and budgets, if applicable
  • Drive continuous improvement in program efficiency and effectiveness through thoughtful execution
  • Continually drive innovation (pre, onsite and post event) to create memorable experiences, increase attendee satisfaction and deliver business impact
  • Measuring and reporting on feedback

  • Familiar with the Amsterdam venue & entertainment base as well as event industry trends
  • Good collaboration and influencing skills; able to build relationships, resolve conflicts and work successfully with a variety of personalities and across geographies
  • Culturally savvy and keen to immerse in the culture and subcultures to understand the community and make the best impact
  • Comfortable using and arranging technology Independent, mature and responsible
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent working knowledge of Google Suite

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Five to eight years of events, employee engagement and internal communications experience either in-house in a large company or events/creative agency
  • Good communications skills
