Sourcing Manager

Location: Waalwijk

Contract: Full-time (40 hours)

Start: 18.07 (10 months contract)

Languages: English (fluent) German (preferable)

What you will be doing as ca sourcing manager:
Your manager is located in Germany - so you are required to take on responsibility. You are responsible for the sourcing of raw-materials in Europe and intensive exchange with stakeholders in R&D, production and supply chain management.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Understand business needs & engage with stakeholders, acting as internal consultant to ensure that the Procurement function continues to be seen as a valuable business partner meeting their needs and supporting the company's strategic goals and growth plans
  • Provide category intelligence, reduce supply risk, gain competitive market advantage, conduct detailed supplier and supply market analysis looking at facts and indicate market trends to make better business decisions
  • Provide accurate in-depth insights on a variety of supply market risks, as well as supplier-specific risks to align and implement mitigation measures
  • Develop and/or implement sourcing strategies and initiatives to ensure compliance with Procurement guidelines, as well as other internal/external process standards (e.g. REACH) and delivery of required business performance
  • Determine the best way to buy, prepare and lead supplier negotiations, award suppliers and conduct negotiation debriefs to ensure the best outcome
  • Manage supply agreements and contracts over the entire lifecycle and minimize exposure to contractual risks (e.g. Contract Excellence)
  • Manage supplier relationships, implement supplier management principles and improve supplier performance to sustainable business practices into supplier relationships and ensure compliance through reports, audits and improvement plans
  • Conduct regular check to ensure implementation of quality, sustainability and safety standards and corporate compliance rules
