Supply & Demand Planner

As Demand planner you will

be part of the operations team, but you will collaborate as closely with the commercial team. You will hold a central position in which you will combine input from all relevant stakeholders to make informed decisions on the forecast. By gathering and analyzing data, challenging commercial assumptions and stretching supply chain capabilities you are striving to have an optimal result: maximum sales and minimum waste. The impact of your work is very significant: based on your forecast we make our buying decisions, with huge financial consequences. You will work on forecasting up to 6 months in advance, but also optimize for products that are on sale today and tomorrow to maximize results.

The company creates seasonal collections to deliver unique flower arrangements on repeat or as a unique gift. They always use field-fresh high-quality flowers straight from the grower and deliver to their customers through a high-tech and highly creative platform. Its e-commerce company launched in Amsterdam in 2014 and went from start-up to scale-up at hypersonic speed. They are already active in five countries: the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, UK, and Denmark.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and optimize the rolling demand forecast (1-200 days in advance) for our fresh and dry products
  • Determine forecast quantities per design/country/delivery day/color based on sales statistics, supply chain capacity, marketing and sales feedback
  • Incorporating inputs such as marketing campaigns, special commercial moments, seasonality and holiday changes into the forecast
  • Managing the meeting and process framework to ensure forecasts are constructively challenged to drive consensus and accuracy
  • Create and optimize KPI dashboard on forecast accuracy, waste and product availability, and strive to outperform these KPI's
  • Coordinate supply chain planning around holidays and special commercial moments (Valentines, Easter, Mothers Day, Christmas, etc.)

Requirements

  • Masters degree in business or related field
  • 3-7 years experience in a supply chain environment and working with demand planning and forecasting
  • Highly advanced analytical skills and strong MS Excel/Google sheets knowledge
  • Great communication skills and experienced in stakeholder management
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset, ability to work on own initiative
  • You perform well under pressure

  • You are fluent in English and Dutch is a pre
