Location: Hoofddorp (Hybrid)
Hours: Full-time 40 hours
Contract: 12 months (second contract perm of 12 months)
Languages: English, Dutch is a plus
Salary: €5787 - €6558

What are you going to do?
As a Business Controller, you will act as the link between finance and the business. You will support management with financial insights, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis. By transforming large volumes of data into meaningful information, you will help leadership teams make informed business decisions and improve overall performance. This is a highly visible role that offers exposure to multiple stakeholders across finance, commercial, operations, and logistics teams.

What does your job contain?

• Preparing monthly management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis
• Developing and maintaining management dashboards and KPI reporting
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Performing variance analyses and providing recommendations to management
• Supporting pricing, margin, and profitability analyses
• Building financial models and business cases for strategic initiatives
• Analysing and consolidating large datasets from multiple systems
• Improving and automating reporting processes and workflows
• Supporting business intelligence initiatives and stock analysis
• Acting as a trusted business partner to commercial and operational stakeholders
• Providing ad hoc financial analysis and decision-making support

What does your profile look like?

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Business Economics, Accounting, or a related field
• Experience in Business Control, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Management Accounting
• Strong analytical skills and financial modelling capabilities
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
• Knowledge of ERP systems and reporting tools
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into business insights
• Fluent in English
• Experience within retail, fashion, e-commerce, consumer goods, or multinational organisations is a plus
