About the organisation

For an international company operating across retail and digital channels, we are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist. In this role, you will contribute to the integrity of financial reporting, accounting governance, compliance, and continuous process improvement within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

You will work closely with finance teams, business stakeholders, auditors, and management to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide valuable insights that support business decisions.

What are you going to do?

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for the integrity of financial reporting and trial balances across multiple entities. You will ensure compliance with accounting policies, manage month-end reporting activities, and support audit and control processes.

You will act as a key finance contact for assigned entities and play an important role in delivering accurate financial information, maintaining compliance, and driving improvements within the finance function.

What does your job contain?

  • Own financial reporting and trial balance integrity for multiple entities.
  • Manage payroll-related accounting entries and provisions.
  • Support transfer pricing activities.
  • Prepare and review accruals, estimates, and period-end adjustments.
  • Review and challenge accounting entries to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity and perform robust reconciliations.
  • Analyze revenue and reconcile inventory and POS-related balances.
  • Monitor intercompany balances and key balance sheet accounts.
  • Lead and coordinate month-end close activities.
  • Deliver reporting packages and management reporting through OneStream.
  • Perform post-close validation procedures to ensure reporting accuracy and SOX compliance.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to explain financial results and provide insights.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Execute and review key SOX and financial reporting controls.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within financial reporting processes.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and support business projects.

What does your profile look like?

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting.
  • Experience within a retail environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with financial reporting and consolidation tools is a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach.
