Are you a technically skilled engineer with a passion for problem-solving and supporting cutting-edge medical technology? This is an exciting opportunity to join a global pharmaceutical organisation dedicated to improving patient outcomes and driving innovation across healthcare.
We are seeking an Internal Service Engineer to play a central role in supporting Field Service Engineers and ensuring seamless service operations across the EMEA region. Based in Schiphol, you will combine technical expertise with strong administrative discipline to deliver high-quality service support and maintain regulatory excellence.
The Role
In this position, you will act as a key link between field teams, product support, and customers by providing remote diagnostics, managing service documentation, and supporting depot repair activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Service Coordination & Documentation (approx. 75%)
- Accurately document service activities using Salesforce / ServiceMax
- Manage case follow-ups and ensure timely closure of service work orders
- Audit Field Service Engineers for compliance, safety, and quality standards
- Analyse device logs to support investigations and product support
- Coordinate spare parts, stock, and service communications
Technical Support & Engineering (approx. 25%)
- Provide remote technical support via phone and email
- Support troubleshooting, testing, and minor repairs of medical devices
- Assist with depot repairs and system validation testing
- Act as backup for the Depot Engineer when required
- Support training sessions and hands-on demonstrations
About You
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Electromechanics, or similar
- Minimum 3 years in technical service, repair, or support environments
- Experience within medical devices is highly desirable
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Fluent English and German (essential)
- Comfortable working with CRM systems and technical documentation
