Overview
We are looking for a Senior Change Manager to lead the change strategy and portfolio for Booking.com's Tech Enablement Program-a complex, large-scale transformation driving engineering excellence, operational agility, and architectural evolution.
This is a highly strategic role, acting as the change counterpart to senior technical leadership (Portfolio TPMs and Engineering VPs), bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to a fast-moving and complex environment.
You will apply pragmatic, outcome-focused change practices to accelerate delivery-ensuring that change frameworks enable progress rather than slow it down.
The Opportunity
This programme is focused on three critical transformation pillars:
- How we Work Together - Driving operational efficiency, reducing dependencies, and enabling faster delivery
- How we Build & Run - Improving engineering productivity through automation and scalable environments
- What Tech we Build - Transitioning from legacy systems to modern, decoupled architectures
You will be at the forefront of shaping how engineering teams operate at scale, influencing senior leadership and embedding new ways of working across a global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Roadmap Leadership
- Own and deliver the end-to-end change strategy and roadmap for the Tech Enablement portfolio
- Align organisational readiness with technical milestones
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and run change governance frameworks across the programme
- Act as a trusted advisor to Portfolio TPMs and Engineering VPs
Strategic Influence
- Partner with VP and SVP-level stakeholders to enable leadership-driven change
- Provide transparent insights on risks, dependencies, and adoption challenges
Pragmatic Change Delivery
- Apply right-sized methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) focused on impact and delivery
- Bring structure to complex, evolving environments with a strong bias for action
Technical Storytelling
- Translate complex engineering strategies into clear, compelling narratives
- Align the engineering community around the long-term vision
Problem Solving & Dependencies
- Identify and manage cross-portfolio dependencies
- Break down complex issues into actionable solutions
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of change managers delivering across the portfolio
- Drive consistency, quality, and high-impact execution
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years' experience leading large-scale, enterprise change and transformation programmes
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Strong understanding of technology environments:
- SDLC, Agile delivery models
- Modern architecture (microservices, decoupling)
- Proven experience influencing VP/SVP-level stakeholders
- Strong data-driven mindset-using insights to drive decisions and track progress
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading change across large global engineering populations (2,000+ employees)
- Background in tech-driven organisations or digital-native environments
