Instructional Designer
In this role, you will build digital learning experiences that directly improve performance, quality, and compliance across a global organisation. You'll work at the intersection of learning, operations, and technology - transforming complex policies and workflows into clear, engaging, and practical learning solutions that teams can apply immediately.
What this role is about
What you'll do
- Translate complex topics into practical, engaging learning experiences
- Build structured learning journeys that support retention and application
- Apply modern instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM and scenario-based learning
- Create interactive e-learning modules using Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise) or similar tools
- Develop storyboards, scripts, assessments, and simulations
- Produce multimedia assets such as video, animation, and interactive exercises
- Build reusable templates and design standards for consistency
- Prepare and publish LMS-ready content
- Ensure compatibility with standards such as SCORM and xAPI
- Support onboarding, certification, and upskilling pathways
- Design assessments and evaluation approaches
- Analyse learning data and optimise content performance
- Support reporting and insights for stakeholders
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into learning solutions
- Manage timelines, feedback loops, and priorities in an agile environment
- Take ownership from concept to implementation and handover
What you bring
- 3+ years' experience in instructional design or digital learning
- Strong experience with Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise) or similar tools
- Experience designing end-to-end learning journeys and assessments
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and standards (SCORM, xAPI)
- Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging learning experiences
Nice to have
- Experience in operational, compliance, risk, or customer-facing environments
- Familiarity with learning analytics or reporting tools
- Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or video tools
- Basic knowledge of HTML5 / CSS or web-based learning
- Experience using AI-supported learning tools
