About the Role
What You'll Do
- Manage a portfolio of complex and long-term sickness absence cases from start to finish.
- Guide employees and managers throughout the reintegration journey.
- Ensure full compliance with Dutch labor legislation and internal policies.
- Coordinate with external occupational health providers, company doctors, mediators, and rehabilitation specialists.
- Monitor progress, risks, deadlines, and intervention opportunities.
- Provide reporting and insights to HR, leadership, and business stakeholders.
- Identify underlying non-medical factors that may contribute to absence risks.
- Drive continuous improvements in absence management processes.
- Contribute to automation, digitalization, and AI-enabled initiatives.
- Support a data-driven approach towards employee wellbeing and absence reduction.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience within sickness absence management, occupational health, HR operations, employee relations, or reintegration.
- Strong knowledge of Wet Verbetering Poortwachter and Dutch employment legislation.
- Experience managing complex, sensitive employee cases.
- Excellent stakeholder management and advisory skills.
- Strong administrative and analytical capabilities.
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- CROV, RCCM or equivalent certification.
- Experience working in an international organization.
- Knowledge of UWV processes and social security regulations.
- Experience with mediation cases or conflict resolution.
- Exposure to HR technology, automation, AI, or workforce analytics initiatives.
