Interim Customer Service Supervisor

Location: Dordrecht
Hours: Full‑time (40 hours per week)
Contract: 6 months (interim assignment with immediate impact)

Position

For an international organisation in the automotive and industrial solutions sector, we are looking for an Interim Customer Service Supervisor to stabilise and further optimise Customer Service operations across Europe.
In this role, you will lead the Customer Service team responsible for the full sales order lifecycle. You will act as the key escalation point for complex operational issues, while improving processes, systems usage and team performance.
This is a hands‑on leadership role in a dynamic, international environment, where you are expected to bring structure, ownership and measurable improvements within a short timeframe.
You will work closely with Sales, Supply Chain and Operations, ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently across multiple European markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Customer Service team responsible for European sales order processing
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex customer and order issues
  • Drive improvements in the order‑to‑cash process, focusing on accuracy, efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Manage and implement process improvements across SAP and Salesforce environments
  • Monitor reporting on order accuracy, service levels and compliance
  • Oversee onboarding of new customers, ensuring a smooth and structured process
  • Support accounts receivable activities and participate in Credit Review meetings
  • Set team objectives and conduct performance reviews in collaboration with the Customer Service Manager

You have / are

  • Bachelor's degree level education
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Customer Service within an international environment
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Salesforce
  • Experience managing complex order management processes across multiple countries
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to act decisively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Hands‑on leadership style with a focus on structure and continuous improvement
