Senior Controller - Statutory & GAAP Transformation Project

The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading global organisation to secure an experienced Senior Controller for a high-impact transformation project. This role will focus on the review, clean-up, and documentation of historical local GAAP adjustments across a large, multi-entity international footprint.
Working alongside an established internal team, you will play a critical role in preparing the organisation for a transition towards non-leading/local ledgers within their ERP landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and clean-up of historical local GAAP statutory adjustments across 70+ entities
- Document the technical accounting rationale behind adjustments in a clear and structured manner
- Assess and classify adjustments as:
- Permanent vs. temporary
- Relevant vs. obsolete (based on materiality and risk)
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align on accounting treatment and documentation standards
- Support the standardisation of processes ahead of ERP transformation
- Produce high-quality documentation, decision papers, and presentations outlining findings and recommendations
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in statutory reporting and financial statement preparation
- Strong knowledge of GAAP-to-GAAP differences (e.g. local GAAP and IFRS/US GAAP)
- Experience working on accounting clean-up, remediation, or transformation projects
- Demonstrated ability to make pragmatic decisions in areas of materiality and risk
- Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, evolving environment
- Strong communicator with experience preparing technical accounting documentation and stakeholder presentations
