We are seeking a Commodity Buyer to join a leading high-tech organization operating at the forefront of innovation. In this role, you will have a direct impact on procurement strategy, supplier performance, cost optimization, and business continuity across a diverse range of indirect spend categories.

About the Role

As Commodity Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for a variety of indirect procurement categories, including:

• Professional Services
• Consultancy Services
• IT Services
• Facilities Management
• Temporary Workforce Solutions
• Logistics Services
• Other Business Support Functions

You will act as a strategic business partner to internal stakeholders while building strong relationships with suppliers and driving value creation through effective procurement practices.

Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will collaborate with business leaders, functional managers, and suppliers across multiple disciplines in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned indirect spend categories.
• Lead supplier selection, tender, and RFQ processes.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, framework contracts, and service agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive continuous supplier performance improvements.
• Identify and realize cost-saving opportunities.
• Support procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor supplier risks and ensure business continuity.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and procurement requirements.
• Manage contract renewals and support supplier governance activities.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and applicable regulations.
• Analyze spend data and provide reporting on procurement performance, savings, and supplier effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (HBO level) or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.
• Experience managing indirect spend categories such as IT, professional services, facilities, or workforce solutions.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• Experience with tenders, RFQs, and commercial contract negotiations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with spend analysis and cost optimization initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
